Baltimore: The Ravens had a solid game on Saturday, taking down the Browns 35-10. This win clinched them the AFC North title and the No. 3 seed in the playoffs.
From the get-go, it was clear the Ravens were in control. Rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins made a big play early, picking off Bailey Zappe and scoring a touchdown to put Baltimore up 7-0.
It wasn’t a flawless game, but the Ravens kept pushing. Tight end Mark Andrews caught a 12-yard touchdown from Lamar Jackson, and Rashod Bateman added another in the third quarter. Even when the Browns got a bit closer, Derrick Henry sealed the deal with two rushing touchdowns late in the game.
Jackson had a standout performance, making history as the first quarterback to pass for over 4,000 yards, rush for 900 yards, and throw 40 touchdowns in a single season. He finished the game with 217 passing yards and two touchdowns, plus 63 rushing yards.
Henry, celebrating his 31st birthday, also made his mark with two rushing touchdowns, tying Jim Brown for fourth-most in NFL history. He started slow but ended up with 138 rushing yards.
However, the Ravens did face a setback with receiver Zay Flowers, who left the game with a knee injury and didn’t return.
On the Browns’ side, Jerry Jeudy set a franchise record with 90 catches this season, though he had a few drops during the game. Zappe ended up with 170 passing yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, including one to nose tackle Michael Pierce, marking the first pick of his career.
Looking ahead, the Ravens will host the No. 6 seed in the wild card round next weekend, which could lead to a rematch with the Chargers and their head coaches, John and Jim Harbaugh.
As for the Browns, this loss means they’ve secured a top-three pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which could even go as high as No. 1 depending on Sunday’s games.
