Telford: So, there’s this tragic story about a rapper named Tamba Momodu, also known as Teerose. He was shot dead while sitting in a car, and it’s being called a “cold-blooded execution.” This all happened on October 13, 2020, just as he was about to hit the gym with friends.
Apparently, Tamba had moved to Telford from north London a couple of years earlier, trying to start fresh after being cleared of a murder charge. He was accused of killing another rapper, Abdullahi Tarabi, back in 2017. Now, it seems like Tarabi’s family was out for revenge.
Two guys, Mahamud Tarabi and Ahmed Karshe, are on trial for Tamba’s murder. They allegedly tracked him down after he got out of prison for drug charges. The prosecutor said they made multiple trips to Telford, trying to find him before finally ambushing him.
On that fateful day, Tamba was in a friend’s car when the attackers struck. They had been watching him and planned everything out. It was brutal—he was shot multiple times, and it was clear that this was no random act of violence.
After the shooting, the attackers set fire to the getaway car, trying to cover their tracks. The court heard that they had been searching for Tamba’s address for a while, even using Google Maps to find him. It’s just heartbreaking to think about how he became a target after getting out of prison.
All four defendants are denying the murder charges, but the trial is ongoing. Tamba’s family described him as a bright young man who brought joy to those around him. It’s a tough situation, and the trial is expected to last a while.
