Fort Lauderdale: A Quebec man lost his life in a boat explosion in Florida’s Broward County. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed the sad news.
On Monday, a 37-foot vessel exploded right after the engines were started. There were seven people on board, and unfortunately, all of them were injured.
One of the passengers, 41-year-old Sebastien Gauthier from Quebec, succumbed to his injuries. The other six were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Social media footage showed the boat engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke rising into the sky. While local media mentioned the explosion occurred at Lauderdale Marina, the official report didn’t specify the exact location.
