Moscow: A bomb blast killed Armen Sarkisyan, the chief of Putin’s “death squad.” The explosion happened at the luxury Scarlet Sails apartment complex.

The blast occurred on Monday and was reportedly caused by a Ukrainian bomb. Sarkisyan was 46 years old and led the pro-Putin Arbat battalion.

He was known for his involvement in fighting in Ukraine’s Donetsk region. The bomb was powerful enough to blow off the building’s front doors.

One of Sarkisyan’s bodyguards also died in the explosion, and three others were injured. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene.

Sarkisyan was considered a key figure in pro-Russian paramilitary activities. He had ties to former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.

Ukrainian authorities viewed him as a target due to his past actions. The search for justice continues as investigations unfold.
