Newgale: Exciting news! There are two public events coming up where folks can chat about the plans for the coastal adaptation project. It’s all about making Newgale more resilient against climate change.

The Pembrokeshire County Council has been working on this project for a while now. They’ve gathered a lot of input and ideas from the community, and it’s time to share what they’ve come up with.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 29, and Saturday, February 1. The council will be at these sessions to explain the first phase of the project and answer any questions you might have.

This is a great chance for everyone to get involved and share their thoughts. The goal is to help Newgale adapt to changes in the coastline and climate, making it a stronger community.

They’ve brought in AtkinsRéalis to help with the project since they specialize in environmental services. The first phase includes some cool changes like rerouting the A487, creating new paths for walking and cycling, and improving access to the beach.

Councillor Rhys Sinnett encourages everyone to come out and learn more about the plans. It’s a perfect opportunity to speak directly with the team working on this project.

To make sure everyone can participate, they’ve set up an online booking system for the events. You can find more details on the Newgale Coast Adaptation website.

Don’t forget, the events will take place at Victoria Hall in Roch from 10 am to 7 pm on January 29, and at Memorial Hall in St Davids from 10 am to 4 pm on February 1.
