He was already under a criminal behavior order, which is supposed to keep him from causing more chaos. But that didn’t stop him. In court, the judge said the public deserves a break from his antics. McCouid was caught on CCTV smashing windows and stealing cash from various places.
One time, he broke into a barbershop and even came back on his bike to grab more stuff. He hit up Café Nero and a few pubs too, and when a bartender caught him in the act, he just casually said, “nice one” as he left. Can you believe that?
He also targeted a beauty shop and a chemist, causing a lot of damage along the way. The police finally caught up with him after he snatched a handbag from a woman on the street. He put up a bit of a fight, but they got him in the end.
In court, he admitted to multiple burglaries and thefts. His lawyer said he’s been struggling with drug addiction, which is why he’s been acting out. The judge wasn’t having it, though. He sentenced McCouid to three years in prison, saying enough is enough. It’s a sad situation, but hopefully, he can turn things around after serving his time.
