Grantham: Two men were arrested for violent disorder and hare coursing. A 26-year-old from Grantham and an 18-year-old from Spalding were taken into custody on January 31.

The police started an investigation after complaints about hare coursing and dangerous driving. This happened on January 25 in several areas, including Ely and Littleport. They are asking the public for help in identifying those involved.

Cambridgeshire Police updated that both men have been bailed. They must return to Thorpe Wood Police Station later. They have specific bail conditions to follow.

These conditions include not being with dogs on private land without permission. If they have a dog, it must be on a lead. They also can’t drive with a dog outside a five-mile radius of home unless it’s for a vet appointment.

Additionally, they cannot possess a catapult or air weapon. They must not enter private fields without permission. They also can’t use public spaces for hare coursing or intimidate anyone in 12 counties.

Chief Constable Nick Dean mentioned the impact of these events on the community. He assured that a dedicated team is working hard to investigate and bring those responsible to justice.
