Manchester: There’s been a bit of a scare in north Manchester tonight. Police rushed to Bowmead Walk after folks reported hearing gunshots. It all went down around 3 PM, just as kids were getting out of school.

They’ve set up a big cordon, and you can see forensic officers in their white suits doing their thing. They’re searching the area to figure out what really happened.

So far, no one’s been hurt, which is a relief. Greater Manchester Police are still trying to confirm if shots were actually fired. A local guy, who didn’t want to give his name, said he saw a bunch of police cars and was pretty confused at first.

He mentioned that a neighbor heard three or four shots, and they definitely weren’t fireworks. The police are still on the scene, looking for clues.

GMP is urging anyone who knows something to reach out. They got the call about a suspected shooting just after 1 PM. If you have any info, you can talk to the officers there or call them up. And if you want to stay anonymous, there’s always Crimestoppers.
