Crime

Crosby, UK, Whiskey Theft, Merseyside Police

Crosby: So, get this! Police were just doing their thing, pulling over a car when they stumbled upon something big. They spotted a silver Ford Mondeo cruising down Crosby Road South around 9 PM on a Monday night.

When they checked it out, they found ten bottles of fancy whiskey stashed in the back. Turns out, those bottles were reported stolen from a Waitrose just minutes earlier! Can you believe it?

Three guys were in the car—a 43-year-old and a 42-year-old with no fixed address, plus a 46-year-old from Bootle. They got arrested on suspicion of theft and were taken in for questioning.

Inspector Bernie McHugh praised the officers for their quick thinking. He mentioned that shoplifting really affects the community, and it’s not just a harmless crime. It’s a big deal for the folks who work hard for their money.
