Police Arrest Multiple Suspects, Including 14-Year-Old, in Crime Crackdown

Birmingham: Police have been busy lately, making some significant arrests related to vehicle crimes. They recently took a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man into custody after finding a stolen moped.
The West Midlands Police are really aware of how upsetting vehicle crime can be for the community. They’ve got multiple people in custody right now, all linked to these vehicle crimes.
In one case, they recovered a stolen moped. There was even a police chase involving an off-road bike, and officers had to chase down a teenager on foot in another incident.
They shared that overnight, they arrested four men and one teenage boy on suspicion of being involved in vehicle crime. This includes the 14-year-old and the 18-year-old, who were caught after some suspicious activity was reported in Braceby Avenue.
The police found the stolen moped around 9 PM on a Monday. In another chase, they arrested a 26-year-old man after he was seen riding an off-road bike. He was caught after a foot chase in Vauxhall Street.
On Tuesday, another 18-year-old was arrested after police spotted a stolen vehicle in Sutton Coldfield. They located it around 4:30 PM, and when the driver tried to flee, a short foot chase followed.
This teen was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and robbery. On the same day, a 40-year-old man was caught trying to open car doors in Barnes Hill. Officers found him inside one of the cars with a stolen handbag and a sat nav.
The West Midlands Police emphasized that they take all crime seriously, including vehicle crime. They understand how distressing it can be and are committed to tackling it head-on.
