Police Update on Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash on M6 Involving Pedestrian
A man in his 30s has died following a tragic three-vehicle crash on the M6 near Leyland, prompting police to seek witnesses.

Leyland: A man in his 30s lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on the M6. This awful incident involved two lorries and an Audi.
The emergency services rushed to the scene on the northbound side at Hunger Hill between junctions 27 and 28 around 3 PM on Sunday, January 12. Lancashire Police got reports about a collision that included a pedestrian, an Audi A8, and two Scania trucks.
Sadly, the motorway had to be shut down for about seven hours. Despite the best efforts of the emergency teams, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
In a recent update, police mentioned that their investigation is still ongoing. They’re asking anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage to come forward.
Sgt. Laura Kendall from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed her condolences, saying, “A man has very sadly lost his life following this collision, and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this very upsetting time.” She also thanked everyone for their patience while the investigation was underway.
