Authorities provide new details after fireworks were thrown at a house in Dingle, raising safety concerns for residents.

Dingle: A wild night unfolded on Garswood Street when a firework was tossed into a house. It all kicked off around 8:10 PM on January 8.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a firework aimed at the front door. Later that night, around 11:25 PM, police got another call saying a window was smashed, and another firework was thrown inside.

Firefighters arrived shortly after and found the living room ablaze. Thankfully, everyone inside managed to escape, but one person was taken to the hospital for a check-up.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of arson and criminal damage but has since been released on bail. Detective Inspector Steve Street mentioned that this could have ended badly, and they’re still figuring out the motive behind the incident.
