Police issue update after early hours street brawl

Aigburth: So, there was this street brawl early in the morning, right? It all went down on Normanton Avenue around 3:30 AM. The police got called out after reports of a fight involving about five people.

Two folks, a man and a woman, ended up in the hospital with injuries. At first, the injuries were described as serious, but the police later said they weren’t that bad after all.

They had arrested a 17-year-old and a 36-year-old man from the area on suspicion of assault, but now they’ve been released on bail.

After the fight, the police set up a cordon to gather evidence, and forensic teams were seen working the scene. Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher is asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
