Aberdeen: Police are still searching the icy River Dee for the missing sisters, Eliza and Henrietta Huszti. The 32-year-olds were last spotted on Market Street near Victoria Bridge around 2:12 AM on Tuesday.
They’re part of a set of triplets from Hungary. Divers have already checked the river where they were seen on CCTV. The search area has now expanded to include the Port of Aberdeen’s South Harbour and Duthie Park.
Detectives are now conducting fresh searches along the River Dee. They’ve stated there’s no evidence of foul play. Police are asking the public for any information that could help locate the sisters.
Ch Insp Darren Bruce mentioned that the family is understandably worried and that they’re working hard to find the sisters. He urged anyone who might have seen them to come forward, even if it seems minor.
Eliza and Henrietta’s brother, Jozsef, shared that they spoke to their mother last Saturday and seemed fine. Their third triplet, Edit, also noted they appeared happy during their last conversation on New Year’s Eve, but it was unusual for them to be out so late.
The family has requested respect during this tough time and asked that no unfounded rumors be spread. They appreciate everyone’s support as they navigate this difficult situation.
