London: So, there’s been a bit of a scare at the UK Parliament. Police are looking into a report of a drink being spiked at a bar on the estate.
This all went down on January 7, around 6:30 PM. A parliamentary researcher noticed something was off with her drink and quickly alerted security.
According to reports, she was at the Strangers’ Bar when she realized her drink had been tampered with. It’s pretty alarming, right?
A spokesperson for Parliament confirmed they’re taking this very seriously and that the Metropolitan Police are on the case.
The FDA union, which represents civil servants, expressed their concern and urged Parliament to step up their safety measures to prevent this from happening again.
As for the police, they’re still investigating and supporting the victim. No arrests have been made yet, but they’re encouraging anyone who might have seen something to reach out.
