Police chase ends in man being injured by own vehicle while ‘attempting to get out’

Little Lever: So, there was this wild police chase that ended with a guy getting hurt by his own vehicle. Can you believe it? He was trying to jump out when it crashed into a shop wall.

It all kicked off around lunchtime when the cops got a tip about some stolen stuff being loaded from a van. They rushed over, and before you know it, a chase was on.

The pursuit led to a crash right into the Go Local shop on Fearney Side. The poor guy ended up injuring himself while trying to bail out of his vehicle. Talk about bad luck!

He was taken to the hospital, but thankfully, his injuries weren’t life-threatening. The police arrested him on a bunch of charges, including theft and dangerous driving.

They set up a cordon around the area for a while, blocking off the street between Church Street and Rydal Road. It was quite the scene with police and paramedics everywhere.

According to a spokesperson, they got the call just before 1 PM, and things escalated quickly. The guy was treated for his injuries, and the investigation is still ongoing.
