Bangor: So, there was this wild police chase on Sunday evening. It all kicked off around 5 PM when officers tried to pull over a car zooming down Caernarfon Road. But the driver wasn’t having it and took off instead.
The chase led to the A55 being shut down for a bit. Eventually, a Roads Crime Unit officer managed to stop the car on the A55 slip road. It was a bit of a scene, and traffic was backed up for a while.
Luckily, the officer was fine, but the police car didn’t come out unscathed. It got some serious front-end damage. North Wales Police confirmed that a 29-year-old from Bangor was arrested. He’s facing charges for drug driving, dangerous driving, and not having a license.
It’s a reminder of how quickly things can escalate on the roads. Stay safe out there!
