Plymouth: Malachi Boateng has joined Plymouth Argyle from Hearts. He signed a three-and-a-half year contract. This move adds depth to the team.
The club announced the transfer just before the winter window closed. Boateng had a medical earlier that evening. He is 22 years old and ready to contribute.
Head coach Miron Muslic is excited about Boateng. He believes he fits the team’s style perfectly. Muslic said Boateng is tall, athletic, and physical.
Boateng’s older brother, Hiram, played for Argyle in the past. Both brothers came from Crystal Palace’s academy. This connection adds a personal touch to the signing.
Recruitment head Jimmy Dickinson praised Boateng’s skills. He called him a ball-winning midfielder with great potential. Dickinson believes Boateng will thrive under Muslic’s guidance.
Boateng will wear the number 19 shirt. He is the fifth signing for Argyle this winter. Other recent signings include Michael Baidoo and Maksym Talovierov.
Boateng joined Hearts last summer and played 21 matches. He made seven substitute appearances for the Edinburgh club. Now, he’s ready for a new challenge with Argyle.
