Suckley: There’s a new proposal on the table for nine homes near Stocks Farm. The plan includes some nice landscaping and green features, which is pretty cool.
The application, sent to the Malvern Hills District Council, mentions that this spot is marked for housing in the upcoming local plan. They could even build up to 18 homes if all goes well.
What’s interesting is that Suckley is being considered a category 1 village. This means it’s seen as one of the best places for sustainable development.
The planning agent, The Rural Planning Co., is excited about the project. They say it’ll be eco-friendly and designed to fit in with the local vibe, which sounds promising.
They also want to boost green spaces and biodiversity, plus add some renewable energy options. It’s all about leaving a positive mark on the village.
The developer has been chatting with locals and even showed draft plans at a meeting last September. It’s great to see them getting community input.
The site is located south of Suckley village, right across from the junction at Stocks Cross. Stocks Farm is nearby, adding to the rural charm.
Some neighbors have shared their thoughts. Linda Connor is worried about losing green spaces, saying it’s important for the environment and our well-being.
Then there’s Rebecca Southall, who has concerns about a tall building possibly overlooking her garden. But she thinks the overall plan fits well with the area.
