Plans Approved for Affordable Rent Bungalows in Hartlepool
New bungalows will replace a vacant site plagued by antisocial behaviour

Hartlepool: Exciting news! Plans for nine new bungalows have just been given the green light. This site has been empty for a while and has had its fair share of trouble with antisocial behaviour.
The proposal was first put forward to the Hartlepool Council back in 2023. The idea is to build nine one-bedroom bungalows that will be available at affordable rent. Sounds great, right?
Previously, this spot had some bungalows, but they were torn down in 2005 due to flooding issues. Now, the council has confirmed that the new plans are acceptable, which is a relief.
While it means losing some open space, the council doesn’t think it’s a big deal. Plus, the developer will contribute over £7,000 to improve local facilities, like coastal paths and sports areas.
These new homes will not only provide much-needed housing but also help the community. Each bungalow will come with its own garden and parking space, plus a shared green area for everyone to enjoy.
So, it looks like Hartlepool is on its way to a brighter future with these new bungalows!
