Orillia: Wow, what a wild few days it’s been! Ontario’s snow squall really packed a punch, didn’t it? After days of relentless snow, it looks like things are finally calming down.

Since midweek, those snow squalls have been all over the place, creating near-whiteout conditions from Orillia to Goderich. It’s been a real mess out there, making travel super tricky.

Some areas got hit hard, with reports of over 30 to 60 cm of snow. Can you believe it? Wiarton airport recorded 32 cm, while Phelpston saw a whopping 73.6 cm! That’s a lot of snow!

In Barrie, they even declared a significant weather event because of the chaos. It’s been tough for everyone trying to get around.

Even though the worst is behind us, there’s still some lake-effect snow hanging around. So, if you’re in the GTA, you might see a few flurries, but nothing like what’s been dumped in the snowbelt.

And guess what? It’s going to stay cold for a while, so winter is definitely here to stay. Stay warm out there!

People are sharing their snow stories and photos on social media, and it’s pretty entertaining. Just check out the hashtag #ONStorm to see what everyone’s been up to!
