Denver: So, guess what? Pat Surtain II just snagged the title of PFT’s 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. And honestly, it’s well-deserved.

Now, you might think he racked up a ton of sacks or interceptions, but that’s not the case. He had four picks, including a wild 100-yard pick six, and he was just everywhere on the field.

He made 45 tackles, forced a fumble, and even recovered one. But what really stood out was how he handled the big names. He was targeted 16 times but only allowed six catches for 56 yards. No touchdowns, and he made those Pro Bowl receivers look ordinary.

It’s pretty cool to see the son of a former Pro Bowl cornerback, Patrick Surtain, living up to the family name. He’s really making a mark.

Of course, there were other players in the running, like Myles Garrett and his 14 sacks, or Trey Hendrickson with 17.5 sacks. But Surtain’s performance against top talent really set him apart.
