Joe Burrow shines in 2024, leading the league despite team struggles and injury

Cincinnati: Joe Burrow had an incredible 2024 season, even if the Bengals didn’t make the playoffs. He really stepped up his game.
Burrow threw a whopping 652 passes, completing 460 of them for nearly 5,000 yards and 43 touchdowns. That’s some serious talent!
What’s even more impressive? He did all this after a wrist injury that ended his previous season. He had surgery and worked hard to get back on the field.
It’s no surprise he’s the top pick for PFT’s comeback player of the year.
Other players were in the running too. Damar Hamlin from the Bills made a strong comeback after his scary cardiac arrest incident. He went from barely playing to being a Pro Bowl alternate.
Then there’s Sam Darnold from the Vikings. After a rough start to his career, he bounced back and led his team to 14 wins, earning a Pro Bowl nod.
And let’s not forget J.K. Dobbins from the Chargers. He came back from a torn Achilles and had a fantastic season, racking up over 900 yards and 15 touchdowns.
If the Bengals had made the playoffs, Burrow might have been in the MVP conversation. But even without that, he’s getting the recognition he deserves for overcoming so much.
