Halifax: A man from north Manchester, David Collier, has been sentenced for a shocking crime. He assaulted a young girl in broad daylight while people were around. Can you believe that?
This incident happened on April 30 last year. Collier, who lives on Woodstock Road in Moston, admitted to several child sex offenses related to this case. It’s just heartbreaking.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and other charges. The court didn’t hold back, sentencing him to four years in prison, plus an extra 18 months on license because he’s considered a risk to the public.
On top of that, he received a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life. It’s a tough sentence, but it’s necessary.
