Perth: Great news for swimmers! The Perth Leisure Pool is getting ready to reopen after finding a temporary fix for those pesky boiler problems.
It’s been a bummer since the pool closed down last Christmas because the water was just too cold. The whole place, including the gym and health suite, shut its doors on January 3.
But now, they’ve shared on Facebook that the training and teaching pool will be back in action starting Tuesday. Plus, the gym and health suite will also welcome back visitors.
However, not everything is back to normal just yet. Some parts of the pool will still be off-limits since the boiler issues aren’t fully sorted out. They mentioned that the leisure water, monkey jungle, and flumes will stay closed while engineers keep digging into the problem.
They’re working with two contractors and their own team to get things fixed up. They’re hoping to open the leisure pool and all its features as soon as possible.
Just a heads up, since this is a temporary fix, there might be some ups and downs with the air and water temperatures. They might even need to close again to really nail down the issue once they figure out what’s causing it.
They promised to keep everyone updated as things change. And they’re super thankful for everyone’s patience during this time, apologizing for any hassle caused.
This whole situation has stirred up some talk, especially with the council planning to replace the Perth Leisure Pool with a new facility at Thimblerow.
