Perth: Great news for pool lovers! The Perth Leisure Pool is finally reopening this weekend after dealing with some pesky boiler issues.

They shared an update on Facebook, saying the leisure water, monkey jungle, and flumes will be back in action on Saturday. It’s been a long wait since the pools closed down last Christmas because the heating went haywire.

When the temperatures dropped, they had to shut the whole place down on January 3, including the gym and health suite. But now, the training and teaching pools are already open, and everything else is set to follow.

However, a little heads up: the boiler problems aren’t completely sorted yet. So, while they’re excited to welcome everyone back, they’re warning that there might still be some ups and downs with the water and air temperatures.

They’re also saying that more closures could happen until everything is fixed up properly. But hey, they’re grateful for everyone’s patience during this frustrating time.

On top of that, there’s some buzz about the council’s plan to replace the Perth Leisure Pool with a new facility at Thimblerow. But it won’t have the same leisure water fun, and kids will lose out on over 30 hours of swimming each week.

Plus, folks are not too happy that the new place won’t have an ice rink to replace the one at Dewars Centre, which is also closing down. So, it’s a mixed bag of news!
