Person Hospitalized Following Incident at Beamish Park Golf Club
A person was injured at Beamish Park Golf Club, prompting emergency services to respond quickly to the scene on Friday morning

Stanley: On Friday morning, emergency services rushed to Beamish Park Golf Club after reports of an injury. It was just before 10:50 AM when they got the call.
Two ambulances and a helicopter from the Great North Air Ambulance Service were dispatched. The helicopter even landed right on the golf green!
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed that one person was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. We don’t know how they’re doing yet.
There was a photo from the scene showing the helicopter on the snow-covered golf course, which is right next to the museum.
A spokesperson from the North East Ambulance Service said they were alerted just before 10:50 AM about the injury at Beamish Park Hotel.
They sent out two vehicles from their Hazardous Area Response Team, along with a clinical team leader and a double-crewed ambulance.
They also had support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service. One patient was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by road.
A spokesperson from GNAAS mentioned that their team was activated at 10:58 AM and arrived on the scene at 11:14 AM to assist with the patient.
