Pennsylvania: Exciting news! The American Injection Molding Institute (AIM) and Pennsylvania Western University (PennWest) are teaming up. They’re launching a new program focused on plastics injection molding.
This partnership is a big deal for students. It gives them a chance to jumpstart their careers in the injection molding field. The program kicks off this fall, but students can start taking AIM courses right now.
Through AIM’s coursework, students will dive into topics like plastics materials, mold design, and even Autodesk Moldflow simulation. It’s all about real-world skills that employers are looking for.
What’s cool is that students will get hands-on training at AIM’s fancy Injection Molding Lab. They can attend classes at various PennWest campuses, either in-person or online, which is super flexible.
Plus, AIM graduates can earn up to 25 credits that count toward PennWest’s degree. That’s a nice boost for anyone looking to advance their education.
David Hoffman, the director of AIM Institute, mentioned that this partnership meets a real need in the industry. It’s all about giving students the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
James D. Fisher, PennWest’s provost, expressed excitement about this collaboration. He highlighted how it helps students gain valuable skills while enhancing their career opportunities.
Overall, this partnership is a win-win, blending strong academic support with industry expertise. It’s all about preparing students for success in the injection molding world.
