Serious Crash on Canvey Island Leaves Pedestrian Hospitalized for Hours
A pedestrian was struck by a car on Canvey Island, leading to road closures and a significant emergency response.

Canvey Island: A woman was hit by a car and ended up in the hospital. It all went down on Long Road and Jones Corner, which police closed off yesterday afternoon.
People nearby saw an air ambulance and a bunch of police cars at the scene. The road was blocked for quite a while, causing a bit of a stir.
The collision happened around 4:50 PM, and the woman was taken to Basildon Hospital for treatment. Thankfully, she’s getting the care she needs.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson mentioned they got the call just before the accident time. They sent out two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, and even an air ambulance to help out.
Essex Police are looking into the incident and have been contacted for more details.
