Dublin: Charlie O’Leary, the legendary kit man for the Irish soccer team, just turned 101. What a milestone! He was a key figure during the team’s big wins in the late 80s and early 90s.
O’Leary worked alongside Jack Charlton, helping the team qualify for major tournaments. They beat England in ’88, Romania in ’90, and Italy in ’94. He also supported Mick McCarthy’s team before retiring in 2000.
