Foxborough: So, Drake Maye, the rookie QB for the New England Patriots, had a bit of a scare during the game against the Chargers. He took a nasty hit to the head and had to leave the field for a while.
After missing a series, the team decided to let him back in once he passed the concussion test. Coach Jerod Mayo was pretty relieved and said he was looking forward to having Maye back on the field.
When he returned, it was like he never left. He ran the ball and even drew a penalty when a Chargers linebacker hit him in the head after he slid down. It was a bit concerning since he had missed part of a previous game due to a concussion, but thankfully, he seemed okay.
Maye’s rookie season has been impressive, and this game was a big moment for him to shine in front of a national audience. It looked like his day might be cut short, but he bounced back and kept going.
