Pittsburgh: In the lead-up to the Steelers’ game against the Ravens, Patrick Queen was all about beating his old team. Coach Mike Tomlin even had him do the coin toss to pump up the squad.
The Steelers pulled off an 18-16 win, which set them up nicely to clinch the AFC North by taking down the Ravens again this Saturday. But now, Queen’s got his eyes on a bigger prize.
“I’m over it,” he said. “We clinched a playoff spot. There are bigger things to look at down the road. Right now, this is a big game. It’s a division game. A chance to get t-shirts and hats. I’m all for it, all for the rivalry, but I’m over my old team.”
If the Steelers win, the Ravens would miss out on the division title, but they could still make the playoffs. That could lead to a third showdown between these rivals in January, but for Queen, the stakes are what really matter now.
