Kansas City: So, it’s official! Patrick Mahomes is good to go for the game against the Texans. He practiced all week without any issues, so fans can breathe easy.
Even though Coach Andy Reid kept things a bit mysterious on Friday, saying they’d likely play him, it was pretty clear Mahomes was ready. He’s been throwing well this season, completing about 67% of his passes.
And guess what? Hollywood Brown is also active! He’s finally set to make his debut with the Chiefs after dealing with a shoulder injury from the preseason. He signed a one-year deal in the offseason, so this is a big moment for him.
On the injury front, linebacker Leo Chenal was added to the report with an illness, but he’s active too. The Chiefs have a few players who won’t be playing, including defensive back Chamarri Conner and defensive end Joshua Uche.
As for the Texans, they’re not surprising anyone with their inactives. Linebacker Christian Harris was questionable but is ready to play. However, they’ll be missing some key players like receiver John Metchie and linebacker Devin White.
The Chiefs have already clinched the AFC West title, and if they win this game and the Bills lose, they’ll snag the top seed in the AFC. Exciting times ahead!
