Cardiff: A passenger got hit on the leg when a brick came flying through the window of a moving bus. This scary event took place in the Rumney area on a Sunday night.
Police are looking into several reports of damage to buses in the east part of the city lately. It seems like this isn’t an isolated case.
Ioan Dyer, a radio producer, was on the number 30 bus when it happened. He shared photos showing the broken window and the brick just sitting in the aisle. He mentioned that a passenger with a pushchair was right by the window just before the brick came crashing in.
“Someone could have been killed,” he said, clearly upset. He didn’t hold back, calling out the kid who threw the brick. “Hope you’re proud of yourself,” he added, pointing out that if an adult had been there, it could have been much worse.
The police have been informed, and they’re aware that this isn’t the only incident they’re checking out in the area. Cardiff Bus has been contacted for their take on the situation.
A spokesperson from South Wales Police made it clear that they won’t stand for this kind of behavior that puts people at risk. They’re working with Cardiff Bus to find out who’s behind these acts and to stop them from happening again. If anyone has info, they should reach out to South Wales Police at 101.
