Ellesmere Port: So, there’s this guy, Jonathan Tryon, who thought he could pull a fast one. He and his girlfriend, Naomi Riddick, were driving around in a Fiat Bravo, but not for a joyride. They were on a mission to pick up a big stash of cocaine.
Things went south when the cops pulled them over. They were coming back from Rochdale, where they met up with some shady characters. As they were driving to Cumbria, the police started chasing them. Tryon crashed the car and, in a panic, tried to jump over Naomi to escape.
But guess what? The police found a block of cocaine worth a whopping £25,000 right under her seat. Talk about bad luck! They were both arrested, and it turned out Tryon had been in touch with the gang’s ringleaders just before their little road trip.
In court, it came out that he was in a bit of a mess. He had a cocaine addiction and was living in a flat owned by one of the gang members. His lawyer said he was just trying to pay off a debt after a broken TV. But the judge wasn’t having any of it.
Tryon got two years and three months in jail, while Naomi got a suspended sentence. They both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs. It’s a wild story, but it shows how quickly things can spiral out of control.
