Manchester, UK, Owen Baugh, M62, Collision, Court

Owen was riding his red Suzuki motorbike when it collided with a black Audi A4 in the early hours of April 25, 2021. His family described him as a true gentleman, someone who was kind-hearted and always looked out for others.

The crash happened between junctions six and seven on the westbound side of the motorway. Owen was rushed to the hospital but sadly passed away shortly after. It’s heartbreaking to think about how much he meant to his family and friends.

Fast forward nearly four years, and now Steven and Lisa Naylor have been charged in relation to the incident. They appeared in Liverpool Crown Court recently to face the charges against them.

Steven, 40, confirmed his name and date of birth but didn’t enter a plea regarding the charges of causing Owen’s death by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice. Lisa, 39, pleaded not guilty to the charge of perverting the course of justice, which involves her allegedly misrepresenting Steven’s medical condition to avoid prosecution.

Both were released on conditional bail and are set to return to court for a further hearing in March, with a trial scheduled for November. It’s a long road ahead for everyone involved.

Owen’s family shared a heartfelt tribute after his passing, highlighting his caring nature and how he always made sure everyone around him was happy. They emphasized how much he will be missed, describing him as a big part of their lives.

It’s a tough situation, and you can’t help but feel for his family as they navigate this painful chapter.
