Pair accused of bringing teenage girls to Albuquerque for sex trafficking on East Central

Albuquerque: A shocking case has emerged involving a man and a woman accused of trafficking two teenage girls. Roderick Norseweather, 25, and Tajahnae Johnson, 21, are in serious trouble for allegedly bringing a 14- and 15-year-old girl from California to Albuquerque for sex.

They were arrested and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center. Prosecutors are pushing to keep them locked up until their trial, calling the situation “appalling.” It turns out Norseweather is already on probation for a burglary charge from California, and Johnson had an outstanding warrant for a previous incident.

Things took a turn when police found the 14-year-old girl, who had been reported missing in California, in a vulnerable state. She was soliciting sex in Albuquerque, and her story is heartbreaking. She revealed that she started “doing sex work” a few months back and was picked up by Norseweather, who then claimed her as his own.

The girl said Norseweather demanded she call him “Daddy” and introduced her to Johnson, who went by “Chocolate.” They were all involved in this terrible situation together. The girl was terrified, claiming Norseweather threatened her life if she tried to escape or didn’t hand over her earnings.

After arriving in Albuquerque, the girls were told to go to a specific area to solicit sex work. In just three days, the girl reported having sex with 25 men, which is considered statutory rape. She also mentioned being taken to a house where drugs were being made while they were forced to perform sexual acts.

In a twist, the girl said Johnson and another teen even beat and robbed a man who tried to solicit her. Eventually, police caught up with Norseweather and Johnson at a motel, where they claimed they had no idea what was going on. It’s a tragic situation that highlights the ongoing issue of human trafficking.
