Paedophile who terrorised young girls dies in prison

Pembrokeshire: So, Graham Boyle, the guy who caused so much pain to young girls, has died in prison. He was serving time for abusing three girls, aged between eight and twelve. He got an 11-year sentence back in 2017.

He passed away at 84 from cancer while in Bridgend’s Parc prison. His wife claimed he didn’t get the best healthcare, but a report said there were no issues with his treatment.

Boyle was originally from Bridgwater but was living in Pembroke Dock when he was sentenced. The court heard he threatened the girls, making them think no one would believe them if they spoke up.

One mother shared how her daughter was terrified to come forward, fearing no one would take her seriously. It’s heartbreaking to think about the innocence that was taken from those kids.

Another victim’s mom said she’ll never forget the fear on her daughter’s face. She just wanted justice for the awful things Boyle did to her child.

The judge, David Evans, pointed out that Boyle showed no remorse and only admitted guilt at the last minute. He told Boyle that the girls and their families deserved so much better than what he put them through.

DC James Sherwin from the police praised the victims for their courage, saying their bravery led to Boyle’s lengthy sentence. He emphasized that they will always support victims of such crimes.

After Boyle’s death, his wife wondered why he wasn’t released early due to his illness. The prisons ombudsman explained that they didn’t have a clear prognosis until just days before he died, so he didn’t qualify for early release.

Interestingly, an independent review found that Boyle’s care in prison was actually quite good. It’s a tough situation all around, and it’s hard to see how things could have been different.
