Cambridge: A paedophile named Jason White has been jailed. He kept trying to groom girls online, even after being bailed for earlier offences.
White, 33, first caught attention when a girl’s mother reported him. He had messaged her daughter, pretending to be 15 and asking for inappropriate photos.
After sending an inappropriate picture, he was arrested but released on bail. Unfortunately, he continued his behaviour.
In December, an online child activist group caught him again. They posed as a 14-year-old girl. White, using a fake name, initially claimed to be 15.
He soon admitted his real age and asked to meet in Cambridge or Brighton. He sent another inappropriate photo and was arrested again.
On December 15, he engaged in sexual conversations with a decoy posing as a 13-year-old girl. He was arrested on December 17.
At Cambridge Crown Court, White was sentenced to 23 months in prison. He pleaded guilty to several charges related to child sexual activity.
He will also be on the Sex Offenders Register and has a restraining order against the victim for ten years.
DC Rosie McKenzie stated that White’s continued offending shows he is a danger to children. She emphasized the importance of being cautious online.
