Tarsem Dhaliwal, Iceland Foods, Padgate, Warrington, UK, OBE

Warrington: So, guess what? Tarsem Dhaliwal, the CEO of Iceland Foods, is getting an OBE! How cool is that? He’s on the New Year’s Honours List for all the great stuff he’s done.

This list is a big deal in the UK. It shines a light on folks who really make a difference in their communities. It’s not just about celebrities; it’s about everyday heroes too.

Tarsem’s been leading Iceland Foods since 2018. He’s originally from India but moved to the UK back in 1966. He grew up in Warrington and even went to school there. Pretty neat, right?

He still has family in Padgate and just opened a new distribution center in Warrington this year. He mentioned how important it is for him to be back in his hometown, where his mum and sisters still live.

Now living in Mold, Wales, he’s being recognized for his work in retail, charity, and boosting the Welsh economy. It’s awesome to see someone from our area getting this kind of recognition.

He’s in good company too, alongside Paralympic champions and other amazing people. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer even praised all the unsung heroes who do incredible things every day.
