Salisbury: Niamh Lynch is in trouble. She and Rajan Naidu are accused of damaging a historic site in June 2024.

They allegedly threw powder on a stone structure in Wiltshire. This happened just weeks before the Summer Solstice.

Last week, they appeared in Salisbury Crown Court. They denied charges of damaging an ancient monument and causing a public nuisance.

Niamh is a 22-year-old Oxford University student. Her lawyer asked to avoid trial dates in May and June because of her exams.

She studies geography and represents youth at the British Trust for Ornithology. Niamh is also co-president of Oxford’s Nature Conservation Society.

A third protester, Luke Watson, is also accused but didn’t show up in court. A 10-day trial is set for October this year.
