Oxford, Michigan, Malik Webb, Christmas Eve Shooting, Murder
Oxford: A tragic incident unfolded on Christmas Eve when Malik Letroy Webb, 29, was charged with 19 counts, including felony murder. This all happened near Ray Road, where Webb allegedly shot three people, resulting in one death.
Webb, who hails from Genessee County, had just been released from prison earlier this year after serving time for gun-related charges. It’s shocking to think he was out just in time for the holidays.
Witnesses say Webb had crashed his vehicle in a ditch. When some good Samaritans stopped to help, he opened fire, injuring two and killing one. It’s heartbreaking to hear how quickly a good deed turned into a nightmare.
During his arraignment, Webb appeared via phone from jail, pleading not guilty. The magistrate described the allegations as “heinous,” which really puts into perspective the severity of the situation.
He was denied bond and is set to appear in court again on January 6. It’s a tough time for the families affected, and the community is still reeling from this senseless act of violence.
