Perth: So, here’s the scoop. The M90 Friarton Bridge is going to be closed overnight for a while. Traffic will be rerouted through the city, which could be a bit of a hassle.
Amey is stepping in to check out the bridge’s condition. They say it’s just routine stuff, but it comes right after a fire caused a big mess and shut the bridge down for ten hours.
The closures kick off on Monday, January 20, and will last until Saturday, February 15. They’ll be working on both sides of the bridge at night.
For the northbound lane, expect closures from 8 PM to 6 AM until the end of January. Then, the southbound side will close during the same hours from February 3 to February 14.
When the bridge is closed, traffic will be diverted through Queen’s Bridge. If you’re heading north, you’ll take a detour through Junction 10 to Broxden Roundabout and then follow the A93.
For those going south, you’ll exit at Junction 11 and follow the A85 to cross Queen’s Bridge. After that, it’s a left turn to get back on track.
Oh, and just a heads up, there will also be some single-lane closures at the A90 Barnhill Interchange on January 30 and February 5.
