Over 4,000 uninsured cars seized in Essex last year

Essex: The Roads Policing Unit is on a mission to keep our roads safe. They’ve been busy, seizing a whopping 4,365 uninsured vehicles last year. That’s more than 360 vehicles every month!

November was a particularly busy month, with 463 vehicles taken off the roads. The police are really cracking down on drivers who think it’s okay to drive without insurance.

Superintendent Phil Stinger expressed concern over the high number of uninsured vehicles. He pointed out that it’s not just illegal; it’s dangerous. These drivers are putting everyone at risk.

Thanks to teamwork with the Motor Insurers Bureau, the Roads Policing Unit is making strides in removing these risky vehicles. They’re committed to keeping our communities safe.
