Leeds: Recently, memorials for two police officers who were tragically murdered were vandalised, and it’s causing quite a stir. People are really upset about it.

PC Ian Broadhurst and Sergeant John Speed had their memorial stones covered in black paint over the weekend. It’s just heartbreaking to see such disrespect for those who lost their lives serving the community.

Broadhurst was shot during a routine check back in 2003, and Speed was killed in 1984. Both were heroes, and now their memorials are being treated like this? It’s beyond comprehension.

The police are on it, though. They’re investigating and want to find out who did this. Chief Superintendent Steve Dodds expressed how appalled everyone is at the force. He made it clear that this kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.

They’ve already cleaned up Broadhurst’s memorial, and Speed’s will be restored soon. It’s good to know they’re taking action, but it’s still a sad situation. If anyone has info, they’re urging people to come forward.
