Toronto: Drivers in southern and eastern Ontario are in for a rough night with snow from a clipper system. Roads could get pretty slick, so be careful out there!

But hey, there’s a silver lining! Sunday is bringing a break from all this snow. Temperatures are set to rise, giving everyone a little breather from the winter chill.

As the snow moves across the region, it should wrap up in the Greater Toronto Area late Saturday night and clear out by Sunday morning in Ottawa. So, not too long to wait!

While the snowfall totals won’t be as heavy as what we’ve seen recently, even a few centimeters can make driving tricky. Eastern Ontario might see the most, with about 10-15 cm expected.

Areas near northern Lake Huron and southern Georgian Bay could get 5-10 cm, while the rest of Ontario is looking at less than 5 cm. Just enough to keep things interesting!

Looking ahead, that clipper system is bringing some warmer air our way. Sunday should feel a lot milder, with temperatures climbing above freezing. Rain showers are likely on Monday, but watch out for some freezing rain in areas north and northeast of Toronto.

Another system is brewing in the U.S. Midwest, which could bring widespread rain to southern Ontario on Tuesday night. And yes, there’s a chance of snow for some areas as a cold front rolls in.

After that, a strong cold front will sweep through, bringing a blast of Arctic air and possibly more lake-effect snow by Wednesday night. But don’t worry, milder weather is expected to return for the weekend!

So, keep an eye on the forecast, and stay safe out there!
