London: So, there was this pretty shocking incident at a performance of Only Fools and Horses. Two cast members, Bradley John and Gloria Acquaah-Harrison, were racially abused by someone in the audience. Can you believe that?
This happened at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith. The crowd was all hyped up for the show, but one person just had to ruin it for everyone. An eyewitness said it was a wild night, but this guy’s comments were totally out of line.
Apparently, security couldn’t even find the guy to kick him out. The cast was left feeling really upset, and they just couldn’t wrap their heads around what they heard. It’s just so disappointing.
The producers of the show quickly stepped in with a statement on Instagram. They made it clear that they expect respect from everyone, both on and off the stage. They won’t tolerate any form of abuse or discrimination.
It’s a shame that such a great show had to deal with this kind of behavior. The musical has been getting a lot of love, even from original cast members like Sir David Jason, who found it hilarious. After a successful run in the West End, it’s now touring the UK and Ireland.
Did you catch the show? If so, let me know what you thought!
