One Hospitalised in Clyde Tunnel Crash, Motorists Urged to Avoid Route
A serious crash in Glasgow’s Clyde Tunnel has left one person in hospital, prompting police to advise motorists to seek alternative routes

Police had to shut down the A739 Balshagray Avenue while emergency crews rushed to help. They took the injured person to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Govan.
The Scottish Ambulance Service sent out a bunch of resources, including ambulances and a trauma team. They really jumped into action. Meanwhile, police also closed off Victoria Park Drive northbound, telling drivers to find other ways around the area.
A spokesperson from the ambulance service mentioned they got the call at 1:53 PM about the crash. They dispatched multiple teams to the scene.
Earlier, a police spokesperson said that Balshagray Avenue and Victoria Park Drive were closed due to the serious crash involving two vehicles. They were on the scene, and it was clear that motorists needed to steer clear of the area for a while.
