Miami Beach: So, you won’t believe what happened with Fred Kerley. The Olympic sprinter got arrested after a run-in with the police. It all went down late Thursday night when he was chatting with officers about his parked car. Things took a turn when he started acting aggressive.

According to the police, they asked him to leave, but he didn’t want to go. Instead, he got into a fighting stance. When they tried to arrest him, he resisted, and they ended up using a stun gun on him. Ouch!

There’s body-camera footage showing the whole thing. At first, he’s just standing there in a hoodie, but then it gets chaotic. Four officers were trying to hold him down, and one of them fired the stun gun into his back. He was like, “I’m not resisting, I got handcuffs on!”

Throughout the video, he kept saying the officers were in the wrong and that they’d be in trouble. He didn’t mention he was an Olympic athlete until later, but he did say, “Bro, get off my legs, I need my f—ing legs.”

He’s now facing charges for battery against a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Plus, he’s still dealing with some older charges related to robbery and domestic battery. His lawyer called the footage “obscene” and pointed out how unfairly he was treated compared to others.

Kerley won silver in the 100-meter sprint at the Tokyo Olympics and bronze in Paris this summer. He’s got a hearing coming up soon, so we’ll see what happens next.
