Hull: An obsessed ex-boyfriend made a woman’s life a nightmare. He kept ignoring a restraining order that was supposed to keep her safe. It left her feeling scared and anxious.

Ryan Marrazza, 32, had a history of stalking her. He even paid someone to track her down. The court heard how his actions made her feel “crushed” and afraid to leave her home.

They had dated before, but things turned sour in 2019. After a stalking incident, he got a 10-year restraining order in 2022. But on January 31, he messaged her on TikTok, breaching that order.

He sent a photo of them together with a message saying how much he missed her. It was a clear violation, and the woman felt on edge, thinking the order wouldn’t protect her.

She expressed her fears, saying she felt scared of what he might do next. His actions had taken a toll on her relationships and trust in others.

Marrazza was arrested the next day. He admitted to sending the messages and knew the restraining order was in place. He had a long list of previous offenses, including stalking.

In court, he claimed he was trying to turn his life around and hadn’t contacted her since the incident. The judge deferred his sentence until June 2, giving him a chance to prove he could stay out of trouble.

Previously, he had bombarded her with calls and messages, even hiring someone to follow her. He was so fixated that he had that person travel to find her.

When she moved to Bridlington, he still managed to contact her, saying he had changed and wanted to make things right. But his messages only added to her fear.

He even knew details about her life, like where she shopped and what phone she had. It was unsettling for her, and she felt trapped.

Marrazza’s past included serious offenses, and this latest behavior only added to the distress he caused her. The situation has left her feeling anxious and on edge.
